My Almost-a-Mother's Day

I really didn't know what to do with Mother's Day this year (other than celebrate my own Mom), but those closest to me decided to include me in the "mom" category. My mom gave me a Willow Tree figurine of a pregnant woman. It is adorable and, other than the fact that there is no way I would look that tall in wooden figurine form, it looks like me. Joe decided to give me something to help me relax and make me smile, so he gifted me the kindle book Bossypants. I really hope I am able to read this book before August, because I love Tina Fey and would really enjoy reading the book in one sitting and not over 6 months with many, many distractions.

My parents came down this weekend to look at houses. Even though they did not find a house that they wanted to put an offer in on right away it gave us a chance to spend some time together. By the way, Joe and I are super excited to have family moving down to our area. Life is going to be way easier with the help that they will provide.

My mom and I decided to spend our Sunday partaking in the female ritual know as the mani-pedi. We thought that getting our nails done would be the best way to celebrate Mother's Day together.

Here we are enjoying our pampering:

Look at the belly... goodness.
